We have had a wonderful time learning about the Vikings in term 2. The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Folly Farm and produced some amazing Viking crafts while they were there. The children were captivated by the Ice Palace this term and wrote some gripping stories about their own Viking heroes. Later in the term, we have learnt all about Viking gods and goddesses. The children even invented their own! Because they’ve been working so hard, the children have now really gotten to grips with their times tables. Although we would appreciate it if they continue to practice them at home. Other highlights have included the children learning how to sew with Mrs Beegen in art class, a visit from a road safety charity, ginger bread making with Skanska and a visit from the Old Vic, who performed a hilarious and moving nativity. Well done children for all of your hard work this term!
