Click here to see our newsletter for Term 2!
This term our topic will be 'Extreme Environments' where we will be learning all about the hottest, coldest, tallest (etc!) places in the world! We will also be considering how living in unusual environments can lead to some interesting adventures. As well as this, we are very excited to be taking the children to the climbing centre to experience how it might feel to climb a mountain!
We have reached the end of a great term 2 and are keen to share some of the highlights of the term. The children have researched and discovered much about the natural world and how it is always changing to create interesting landforms such as mountains and volcanoes – we even made our own volcanoes! We have also explored how people adapt and survive in extreme weather conditions. To follow this up, we went to St. Werburgh’s climbing wall to experience rock climbing first-hand and this helped us with our English work.
