Our Term 4 Hidden Worlds topic has been really exciting. The children looked at maps of our local area from over a hundred years ago. We noticed that the Chocolate Factory, playing field and Old Georgian have been here since just after the Victorian times.
We also enjoyed our trip to the Big Pit in Wales. We experienced what true darkness was like when everyone turned off their headlamps underground.
For Science Week, we took part in a workshop with engineers from Bloodhound, who are trying to break the land-speed record. The children had to design and make a K-Nex car.
Year 5 also took part in a workshop with chemists from the University of Bristol.
We looked at reversible and irreversible reactions:
