Welcome to our school

Welcome to our school website. Here you can begin to see for yourself what makes Whitehall Primary such a special place.

We are incredibly proud of our unique children, supportive families and inspirational staff, who work together to provide high-quality, enriching learning experiences within our school and wider community.

At the heart of all we do is a belief that a school must be a place where people feel respected and take pride in themselves and their achievements. Within our caring and nurturing environment, children can develop the confidence they need to persevere in all they do. The school is filled with a buzz from the positive relationships the children have with each other and the adults who help them.

Our curriculum is broad and balanced, brimming with learning opportunities that are inspiring and engaging. Whitehall children make great progress; the vast majority achieve outcomes either in line or above age-related expectations by the time they finish Year 6. But of course, school experience is about so much more than just that. It is about giving every child the opportunity to shine and have the confidence to have a go at anything, with the belief that they can succeed. We continue to teach the children to have pride in themselves and to work harmoniously with each other. Our school continues to be a place of acceptance and respect for the beliefs of others, where individuals are nurtured and celebrated.

I feel very proud to be the Head Teacher at Whitehall. It would be my pleasure to show you around and invite you to meet our children and staff.

Best wishes,

Tom Burton

Thank you for the books!

Some of the children in year 3 have been partnered with a reading buddy from the Environment Agency/DEFRA this year. This link is provided by the charity Ablaze, who have kindly purchased a book for every child taking part. This is to promote reading for pleasure and is also in support of Black History Month. As you can see, the children are very happy with their new books!
