Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is a government initiative which targets extra money towards disadvantaged pupils.. The Pupil Premium is provided to enable these pupils to be supported to reach their potential.

Statement of Intent:

• To diminish the gap between the outcomes of our disadvantaged children compared to non-disadvantaged in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
• To continue to target disadvantaged children across the school to reach the expected outcomes by the end of Year 6 though quality first teaching, learning interventions and a focus on well-being and emotional health.
• To provide opportunities to develop both cultural capital and oracy skills which may otherwise be more limited for disadvantaged pupils.
• To ensure there is a focus on increasing attendance for disadvantaged children and reducing the level of persistent absenteeism for our disadvantaged children.
• To ensure that support is tailored specifically for pupils with multi-layered disadvantage.
