Term 3

Elizabethan Bristol

This term our topic is Elizabetan Bristol! In English, we will be writing historical fiction using the book Tudor Tales by Terry Deary for inspiration and The Boy and the Globe by Tony Bradman. We will also be practising our speaking and listening skills whilst practising our class assembly about Shakespeare. In maths, we will be continue to look at numbers up to 1,000 and then moving on to look at right angles and securing addition strategies. In science, we will be looking at forces and doing a range of exciting experiments with magents.

Term 2

Vikings

This term our topic is the Vikings! In English, we will be creating our own stories based on The Ice Palace and writing a range of non-fiction texts. In maths, we will be studying measures and understanding and calculating with numbers up to 1000.  In Science, the children will be learning all about rocks, how they are formed and exploring and investigating their properties.  Check back at the end of the term to find out more and see photos of what we've been up to!

Term 1

Incredible Dragons

This term our topic is the Incredible Dragons. In English, we will be doing lots of immersive dragon art to build our topic vocabulary. We will come up with our own dragon creating an information text. In maths, we will be studying numbers to 100 and looking at measure.  In Science, the children will be learning about light and shadows.
